Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water || Review
August 31, 2014
Another day, another product review. I'm sorry for most of my posts this past month being reviews, i've had all the photos ready, and reviews are easy to write, especially as all of these posts have been almost finished for a while. The reason for this is that a week yesterday, I move to Dundee (about two hours from where I currently live) to go to University. As you can imagine, my life is pretty stressful! I think i'll write an entire post on this, and i'll definitely want to do some sort of "moving in" post, but for now, i'm afraid all I can churn out is reviews, bare with me.
Anyway! Read on to find out what I think of the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water!
"Even for sensitive skin Removes makeup, cleanses and soothes. No rinsing. Face, eyes, lips - no perfume. Hypoallergenic Dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested 400ml=200 uses" |
Early last year, I discovered the L'Oreal Micellar Water, and I grew to love it. (I did a review which you can read here) but one complaint I had was that it ran out really fast. When I saw people raving left right and centre about the Garnier dupe, I picked it up, as it was the same price, and there was more in the bottle, and it's safe to say I haven't looked back.
The packaging is pretty standard, as you can see, I don't love it, nor do I hate it, i'm indifferent. I do like how it's clear, as it makes it really easy to see how much you have left.
The bottle top makes it really easy to dispense just the right amount of product onto the cotton pad. I tend to use three pads, one for my face, and then one for each eye. I then follow up with a cleanser to make sure every single scrap of makeup is off my face.
I love that this doesn't have a scent, as it means it's less likely to irritate my skin. (note: I have really sensitive combination skin). This claims to remove makeup and cleanse gently, and it is great at doing just that. It takes off most of my makeup (eye makeup takes a little longer, and there's a bit of rubbing involved, but I can live with that) and my face feels really fresh and clean after it.
Whereas the L'Oreal one seemed to not last very long, the Garnier one lasts me ages. (Although not quite 200 uses, which it claims..)
It's became a staple in my skincare routine (i'm on my third bottle of this, and as you can see, i'm almost finished it!) and I can't see it being removed from it any time soon. It really is amazing, and it's great value for money, it's a bargain at only £3.99!
If you want to buy it (which I really recommend you do) then you can get it from Boots here.
Thanks for reading!

Great review! I especially love the summary at the beginning :) I use the Garnier Simply Essentials makeup remover, and it's really great!

Thank you for your lovely comment! It is a really good product, and it's often on offer in Boots for £2, which I think is amazing!
