Hey! So.. it's been a while since i've blogged.. I am sorry, life is hectic! If you've been reading my blog for a while, you'll know that I am currently at university. I've been here for just over a month now, and I thought life would have settled down a little, but it hasn't! I've barely had time to phone my family, never mind write a blog post!
However, I am here now, and I have another review today! This product is most certainly not a new product, beauty bloggers have been raving about this for years. It is of course Lush's "Greased Lightning" Spot Cream. I've been using this for around a year and a half now, and I really love it. I've had really bad skin at the moment, and this has been my lifesaver, so I thought i'd write a post all about one of my cult products.
Lush says:
"Strikes the spot with lightning precision. Dab on this super effective tea tree and witch hazel gel to zap zits before they show themselves."
completely agree with this statement. This spot cream works wonders on my skin. I apply a thin layer of this to my face, and rub it in a little bit, but not fully.
One downside is the drying time. It takes ages to dry, and sometimes I feel like i'm rubbing the spot cream away when I apply moisturiser after. However, I then just reapply a little bit of the spot cream on top of the moisturiser, on the blemishes themselves.
The good thing about this product is how long it lasts. One pump is enough to cover all the blemishes (and I permanently have a tonne) on my face. Like I mentioned, I have been using this for a year and a half now, and I am only just started my third bottle, and I use it pretty much every single night without fail.
It's amazing at getting rid of spots before they properly show, but it takes a while for the product to work if the spot has already appeared.
Something I dislike is that it doesn't seem to work on those annoying hormonal spots I get, but I have yet to find anything that works on those to be honest. Even though it doesn't get rid of these spots, it does feel really cooling on my face, and it definitely helps to calm them.
It definitely smells like a natural, organic product, and I think this helps to add to the "calming" feeling of this.
Finally, the price. It is pretty reasonably priced in my opinion (although it recently went up £1?!). It's £6.25, and considering how long it lasts, i'm happy to pay this much for it.
I definitely recommend this if you're looking for a decent spot cream, and you're on a budget. (Like myself! Being a student with no job is hard!) However, bear in mind that it isn't great with hormonal spots!

See you soon!
