Oh yes, i'm using that saying. It's so overused, but I don't think it matters, because it's true for me.
So, it's that time of year again, it's New Years Eve, otherwise known as the last day of 2013! In a way, i'm happy to see the back of this year, but there's a part of me that isn't ready to let it go.
It's been both a great, and bad year. I'll focus on the great (as nobody needs to know the bad). I went on my first holiday in 9 years, I made a tonne of new friends, I had a few new opportunities, my exams didn't go as bad as expected, but most importantly, I started my blog in April this year! And what a good decision this was. Starting a blog has made my life more exciting, and I've spoken to so many great people through it. SO lets hope that this blog is the start of many great years to come!
Anyway, onto the actual topic of this post: the New Year. Every year, I set myself resolutions (as i'm sure most people do), and rarely, do I stick to them (again, like most people do.) This year, i'm going to ry really hard to stick to them, because I have a BIG year ahead of me. I've sent away my UCAS application, so if I get accepted to a uni/art school (hopefully!), then my life is going to be turned upside down. So what are my new years resolutions, I hear you ask? They are as follows:
- Concentrate more on revision for my exams, DO NOT leave it all last minute!
- Focus on getting my folios in check, ready to be sent away.
- Stop biting my nails! (This has been my New Years resolution for the past eight years...)
- Be healthier!
- In an attempt to lose the excess fat around my stomach, try to go out for a run at least once a week. (I can't see this happening, but I can wish, right?)
- Say YES to more things. Don't let opportunities pass me by, agree to more, socialize more, stop being so timid Erin.
So that's just a few of my resolutions for the new year. I'm determined to become a new person, I just really need a change in my life, and that will start in the New Year, I swear!
So that's the last blog post of 2013! I hope you had an AMAZING 2013, and I wish you all the best for the new year, 2014, here we come!
PS. I think in the New Year i'm going to hold a giveaway, so keep an eye out for that!
